Large Irish Limestone Fireplace
Large Irish Limestone fireplace, suitable for hotel, pub or large room. Very traditional feel, because stone is hand-dressed in the old fashioned way. Before modern saws, all stone was taken out of twist (made square) by using the hammer and chisel.
Here we have replicated this process, note the coin effect to the edge of each block and the track of chisels in the middle - in our area this is called 'broading'.
This fireplace can accommodate many different inserts and is shown here with a brick chamber. We can make this fireplace to any size.
